Affiliate Policy

I'm a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for me to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

Here's how it works: If I use a product and end up liking it enough to recommend to other people, I may write a gear review article on it. At the end of the article is a link to a store that sells the product. That link has a special code that makes it an affiliate link. If a person buys that (or any other) product through the link, I get paid a small commission (typically 4-7%). The buyer still pays the regular price. There's absolutely no change in cost due to an affiliate link.

All gear review articles are honest and only written if I can genuinely endorse whatever I write about. I don't post links to online stores on my website unless my actual experience with the item has been a positive one.

Privacy Policy

Because I have that form at the bottom of the site for email signups, I need to have a privacy policy set. It's basically just an assurance that your information is handled respectfully. These emails are only used for occasionally informing you about important events regarding my trip or other related major projects that may follow (like a photography book or a time-lapse release). I won't spam you, I promise.

I collect these emails via MailChimp, and neither I nor they will ever share your address with any third parties for marketing or data mining purposes.
